Project: Art Rocks Teens

Provides general support of our free teen arts education program, Art Rocks Teens. The funding will allow us to provide 600 young people with professionally guided learning in arts history, techniques and applications.

Project: "Emerging" Baker Relief Nursery

About:

This is a new, “emerging” relief nursery.  Provides certified relief nursery services in 2021/22 to 35 families with children age birth to 6 years, screened positive for risk factors of potential child abuse/neglect, and residing in Baker and south Union counties in Oregon.



Bradley Angle

Project: Critical Operating Support for Domestic Violence Services

Year: 2021 Grant Amount: $15,000 Location: Portland, OR
About:

We expect to serve 400-600 domestic abuse survivors across our core programs in 2021 with these funds. Programs are designed to provide support and assistance at every step of a survivor’s healing journey and are inclusive of all identities.



Burns Paiute Tribe Foundation

Project: TuWaKii Nobi (Kid's House) Youth Program Initiative

Tuwakii Nobi will provide on-line after school tutoring for our Native community youth. We are continuing to offer language and cultural immersion opportunities to our youth and their families online due to COVID-19.

To support the work of this relief nursery as they navigate the pandemic and continue to serve at-risk children and their families to prevent child abuse and neglect, and keep children safely with their families.



Family Nurturing Center

Project: Classroom & Family Support

Year: 2021 Grant Amount: $15,000 Location: Medford, OR
About:

Operational support for the Family Nurturing Center (FNC) Farm & Food Extended Classroom Program supporting 50 at-risk children and their families by offering class and family trips to the FNC operated farm, 50 food boxes monthly to families, and transportation. Family Nurturing Center is a child abuse and neglect prevention and intervention program serving high-risk Jackson County families with children.



FISH Vancouver

Project: Volunteer Coordinator + PPE

Year: 2021 Grant Amount: $10,000 Location: Vancouver, WA
About:

Provides 11 weeks salary plus Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a of Volunteer Coordinator, a much-needed position due to COVID-19 and the change in volunteers.  During the time of this grant, FISH will provide emergency food to 9,625 people – many first-time visitors – in Clark County’s poorest neighborhoods. About 30% of clients are children; 21% are elderly.



McKenzie Community Development

Project: McKenzie Valley Community Resiliency Learning Network Hub Program

This grant proposal will provide our 3,054 community members with free, equitable, and accessible educational tools to, regardless of limitations or challenges, advocate for themselves, their families, and their community. (Post 2020 fire)



New Avenues for Youth

Project: Youth Homelessness Prevention and Intervention Services

The proposed grant will help fund New Avenues’ wide range of services for youth experiencing houselessness and housing instability in the Portland area.



North Clackamas Urban Watersheds Council

Project: Boardman Creek - Willamette River Confluence Salmon Habitat Project

Year: 2021 Grant Amount: $15,000 Location: Portland, OR
About:

We will restore habitat at the Boardman Creek /Willamette confluence, a critical stopover for all salmon and steelhead migrating through the Willamette Basin. We will create logjams, rearing habitat, natural pool function, and cold-water refuge.



North Fork John Day Watershed Council

Project: North and Middle Fork John Day River Watershed Resource and Community Support

Year: 2021 Grant Amount: $15,000 Location: Long Creek, OR

This grant directly supports health and function of 2,600² mile of the North and Middle Fork John Day River watersheds and the rural communities within, through restoration, monitoring, literacy and stewardship services.



Oregon Coast Children's Theatre & Center for the Arts

Project: The Arts in Education & Community Arts Initiative

Our programs include 4 touring programs for schools, 3 theatrical and one fine art workshop. (Building Public works of Art). Due to the pandemic, we hope to begin touring again by spring 2022. Goal for 2022 is 10 works of public art.

p:ear’s Arts and Culture program brings music, art, theater, and movement into the lives of young people experiencing homelessness, creating opportunities for them to develop emotional, motor and cognitive skills.



Sanctuary Art Center

Project: Storytelling Internship Program

Year: 2021 Grant Amount: $12,000 Location: Seattle, WA

The Storytelling Internship program will provide job training for 20 youth currently experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Participants will engage with a variety of local artists and employers to gain valuable job readiness skills.

Treehouse partners with youth and young adults in foster care in WA state by providing coaching and resource navigation so they graduate and have the tools and resources they need to thrive as independent adults.
